These events are so much fun. There is usually a gallery scavenger hunt. My boys love listening to the storytellers. If your children are old enough, I recommend taking one of the free guided tours. You and your children will really learn a lot!

Myths are really great stories. Today, make your own mythical scene complete with heroes, legendary beasts, and whatever else your mind imagines.

Drawing Studio: An Instant Classic

For centuries, artists have studied the perfect human forms and flowing draperies of classical sculpture. Join in on this great tradition and make your own classical study.

Theater Workshop: Movement & Myth

Act out myths using shadows and movement in an energetic workshop led by Sean Nolan.

Be mesmerized by stories of all-powerful Zeus, wise Athena, strong Hercules, and swift Mercury, as told by Peter Lawton.

Lyre Music

The pure tones of the lyre, a stringed instrument held vertically in the lap, have been known to soothe and uplift since ancient times. Hear Marianne Dietzel play this unique instrument, and check out a painting showing the god Orpheus playing his lyre.
